We are an automation and machine learning consultancy operating from London and New York.  We work with scale-ups and large corporations to launch solutions by validating problems, speccing ideas and building great products.

Who we are looking for

Curvestone is looking for an experienced, collaborative, project manager to lead and execute technical projects across a variety of industries in areas of Intelligent Automation, Machine Learning, and new venture building.

You will be an integral part of our cross-functional delivery team, working closely alongside the founders, partner engineers, developers, designers and AI researchers to help define and build solutions for our clients.

This role is based in London, Holborn. However, we will consider candidates with the right experience and skills, to join as a hybrid team member (80% remote : 20% in person). Best suited for candidates based in London or the surrounding area, who can travel for occasional in-person client meetings, staff socials, and brainstorming sessions. 

Our project managers come from a diverse range of backgrounds, with expertise spanning Machine Learning, Software Engineering, Product Management, Innovation Consulting, Automation, Data Analytics, Solution Architecture and Venture Building.

What you’ll do

  • Manage multiple concurrent projects and/or projects with multiple work streams that require cross-functional stakeholder engagements.
  • Coordinate and manage project teams through various stages of the project lifecycle:  discovery, specification creation, development, UAT and release.
  • Work hands-on with designers, engineers and the QA team to build and deploy cutting-edge custom solutions (web apps, custom platforms, bots, algorithms). 
  • Assist in choosing the right technical solutions for our clients in collaboration with our Head of Technology and Solution Architects.
  • Manage project timelines and risks, and confidently communicate with senior stakeholders throughout the project to update the customer on project progress
  • Manage project commercials, reporting and legals supported by in-house legal council and Account Director. 
  • Strategically plan the growth of your accounts and flag any account risks.
  • Build strong and lasting relationships internally and with clients. 
  • Gather and help the client to think through problems and opportunities in order to surface future project extensions 
  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify cross-sell opportunities and create proposals

What you’ll need

  • 5+  years of experience in project management, ideally spent working in technology and/or consulting-driven companies.
  • Experience in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies, with the ability to choose the best methodology based on the project needs.
  • Experience in building strong and lasting relationships internally and with clients. 
  • Ability to effectively communicate with both internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a talented, multidisciplinary and multicultural team.
  • Ability to manage a portfolio of projects.
  • Have a real passion for taking ideas from inception to delivery. 

+ Bonus Points

  • Experience working on the delivery of custom software projects.
  • Using tool sets such as Jira, team collaboration tools such as Notion.
  • Experience working in or delivering to large corporate clients
